The bear market is actually good
While the market is down, there’s uncertainty around everything, Binance CEO Changpeng “CZ” Zhao has a different opinion. Here’s what he thinks.
Zhao thinks the Bitcoin bear market is good for crypto.
In a conversation with Messari CEO Ryan Selkis, here’s what Zhao shared:
A four-year crypto market cycle is normal.
A bear market is healthier in the long term than a seemingly never-ending upward trend.
Investors shouldn’t look at token prices as signs of how the crypto market is doing.
“Price corrections are actually good,” CZ said
He suggested investors look at the number of users buying and using crypto + the number of different blockchains and Web3 projects. He repeated, “Crypto is so early. We’re not in a saturated market,” said Zhao.
Adding to Zhao’s view, we think the bear market is also a great time to differentiate actual builders from the people who are in for the money. This crypto winter also acts as an incubator for frameworks, assets and ideologies that flourish in the bull market.
