If it hasn’t been made clear already, the dysfunction of fiat currency regimes (we're looking at you, paper money 😒) is inevitable!
BUT…Hayes believes that one economic sector will continue to flourish: AI 🤖
AI is already our creative partner, personal assistant, code generator,career coach and whatnot! And it is set to become as integral to our lives as coffee on a Monday morning. ☕️
"Recent advancements in computing power have brought us to the cusp of a hockey stick moment, in which AI will go viral and change the course of humanity virtually overnight." 🌎
💡 A "hockey stick moment" is a point in time when a business or trend, after a period of slow or stagnant growth, suddenly takes off and grows at an extremely fast rate, much like the shape of a hockey stick
Bitcoin: The Perfect Match for AI 🎯
When it comes to financial integration, Hayes argues that Bitcoin, not an AI-focused altcoin, will be the first choice.
🤔 The reason? AI will appreciate Bitcoin's inherent qualities - an immutable fixed supply, digital scarcity, and its status as "energy money".
An AI is unlikely to allow itself to rely on anything that a human government operates (which also sounds kinda scary 😨); therefore, only gold and Bitcoin are suitable.
And that’s why Bitcoin is the logical currency choice for any AI. 🤖
Bitcoin's Journey to $1 Million 💰
So, where does this leave Bitcoin's price? ⏳ From its current standing at around $30,000, Hayes predicts that the real impact of AI will kick in within 3 years.
🤯 After that, it could take another decade for the network value boost from AI alone to send BTC/USD to nearly $1 million! That’s a long but understandable wait for that many zeroes!
Hayes has said, "Remember — the market will overpay for Bitcoin network growth if it believes there is a possibility that my assumptions could be true in the future. The most money is made when the market price adjusts from ‘can never happen’ to ‘maybe could happen.’” 📈 Or from "yeah, right!" to "oh, it's right!"
