Immersive gaming experiences + Financial autonomy Gamers not only enjoy the gameplay but also gain full ownership of in-game assets, such as 3D props, apparels, and virtual tools, which they can trade or rent to generate income. 💰
📅 Q1 2023: Its dominance in the overall Web3 sector was even higher at 45 %.
Despite a slight dip in Q2, the sector's resilience amidst market fluctuations is impressive.
User Engagement and Adoption 🚀
The number of daily Unique Active Wallets engaging with dApps on-chain rose by 7.97% from the previous quarter. 🕹
The gaming sector, in particular, has seen a 500% increase in active users on decentralized gaming platforms between 2018 and 2020. 📈
These numbers make it one of the fastest-growing segments of Web3.
Asia: The Hotbed for Blockchain Gaming 🔥
Asia's gaming community, which generates the most significant chunk of the industry's revenue, is particularly pumped about blockchain gaming. 👀
With over 1.7 billion video game players in India, China, Japan, and South Korea alone, the region is a hotbed for blockchain gaming. 🔥
💡 China's Alibaba Group recently partnered with Near Protocol to assist blockchain developers in creating games on decentralized networks.
